From the Cave of Ignorance Comes the Light of Truth. Part 3: Your Sacred Space
OFFLINE

Right away I want to say that the Sacred Space is our mind! The dominant idea in our mind, fed by our desire and organized planning, is the explanation of why we are where we are. There must be a new (or improved) dominating thought developed into our mind and that is the Sacred Space from which any long-lasting prosperity comes.

Groundwork
When we turn inward we will discover doors with rooms to them. Each door is access to the next story of your life’s building. No CEO sets up his office on the first level, but most professionals struggle to get out of this level. You can take steps to get to each level or find one big idea to ride into other levels (escalator). Get familiar with the different levels of who you are and the resources/services in you to render, professionally and personally. Then create an instant elevator with your work ethic, one that allows you unlimited access into all your levels of thinking to be able to meet challenges and tasks in creative ways.

Airborne
Atmospheric pressure decreases with higher altitudes. It’s been proven time again that attitude determines altitude. The new attitude is about what you see when you turn inward. Remember turning inward is also a turning away from unnecessary things. Dropping this debris is how shuttles get into outer space. You’ve got to let go of excess debris. Reaching outer space is generally 60+ miles; likewise you must overcome 6 basic fears to reach full access of your most Sacred Space.

Stargazer
The sun keeps burning due to a rechargeable battery within itself. This is the secret of sustained success. Our mind creates the tone (atmosphere) of the body of work we complete, can regenerate business, and shine light on all areas of our work [even those we do not consciously concentrate on].

At this level of mindset we see no separation between science and spirit, belief and the bottom line. We have excavated the Cave of Ignorance and come into the Light of Truth. It’s all in your mind; your dominant thought, fed by your desire and organized planning. You are living and prospering from Your Sacred Space!

From the Cave of Ignorance Comes the Light of Truth. Part 2: Turning Inward.
OFFLINE

When we are looking for answers to the Earth’s ecological problems we search inside to unearth the answer. When miners seek riches or great materials to humanity’s ails we mine inside the earth. When rain enriches the soil it comes from inside the cloud. When the sun wants to get something to move it strikes the equator and penetrates to the core inside the earth. When humanity wants new life we look inside the womb. The heart, brain, and lungs are inside the body’s toughest protective barriers. If we see that things turn inside for their deeper meaning and purpose, why do we spend so much time looking everywhere else for answers?

Turning inward is a dual process. Not only are we turning to ourselves, we are also turning away from the bothersome outer situations. This is clearly expressed in all walks of life:

  • Fulcrum Point (financial literacy)
  • FOIL Method (mathematics)
  • Paradigm Shift (philosophy and science)
  • The Qur’an says turn yourself to be upright, wholly to that which originates everything [6.79]
  • The Old Testament says to turn yourself to the promises of God to help you [Dt 10]
  • The New Testament says to turn yourself to true profit, wisdom and light inside yourself [Ec 2]
  • The Hindu Bhakti says to turn to the divine in yourself
  • The Dharma of India says to give up that which is not of the divine and turn back to that which is, the only place of safety and clarity

Turning inward is not a direction. It is a place of remembrance. To go back to the beginning, to the desire and purpose for why you are where you are. The center of source and appreciation. And from that place, new light, wisdom and understanding makes its way into the creative mind, flows into the subconscious and finally we know we have made conscious contact with the solutions to all we could ever seek. We are the genie of our own bottle. In this constant contact it is proven that we become more efficient with our work load, more effective with our time, more dedicated to our fields of endeavor, more sincere with our studies, and more aware of the ones around us. We become connected – without losing ourselves.

From the Cave of Ignorance Comes the Light of Truth [Part 1]
OFFLINE
Abraham was called during a dark time in his life. Moses was called while alone on the side of a mountain. Jesus was hidden until a certain time. Muhammad was literally in a cave when receiving his calling. [Peace on them all.] What is it about dark places that make them so fit to produce great light? It would seem the darker the situation, the greater the impending light. The Earth is situated in space from an astronomical position that produces the best light to support the most advanced form of life. It’s the best seat in the house, if you will. In the movie theater, we darken the room to pay attention to only the light.

There is indeed something about dark situations that produce breakthroughs of new birth, growth and development. However, what I’d like to point out is that on each occasion the first and most impending inspiration these circumstances and people faced is in this phrase: forward movement! When things are not so good we tend to stay stuck in our position, but the divine side of us tells us to move forward. Staying still can quickly turn into quick sand. Whatever the situation that has you stuck, we must adhere to the divine side of us (which is always right) telling us to move forward!

It promises to tell you where to go, but the most urgent thing is to get you to move! As young professionals we are constantly seeking the next move, the better position, the corner office, the big title, the nice car and house, the best spouse, the Promised Land. But who are we listening to and following as a guide? Truth doesn’t come out of darkness; rather darkness just makes truth more evident. Truth is its own light. As young professionals we must look for the evident truth in the midst of such dim times. This light is still in you because you are still here. The light in you is enough. The ignorance of the world tries to bury it and make you into itself.

The deeper we venture into the recesses of our situations we discover the answer which has been forming. As in mathematics, we need not fear the unknown. We must probe what is known and when we probe it deep enough, the unknown becomes known and we latch on to it, bringing out its revelation step-by-step. This is how answers manifest in our lives, residing underneath (or beyond) the ignorance. Remove the ignorance and give light to your light. Turn off the TV, the radio, the gossip blog and magazine, slack talk, leave the club, clean up your diet, etc. Remove the ignorance and the answers we seek become evident and obvious. Then we must hold on to that light of truth and move forward! Now! And at the next checkpoint the next set of instructions are already waiting for you. Move forward and see!
