Take a Break The minute you feel stress coming on. Take a break from the situation; whether it's a work overload, a confrontation, or you just got an unexpected bill. Take a 15 minute break from it. Allow your mind to go on vacation for 15min. Once you come back to it, you are sure to be able to think a lot more clearly and rationally.
Deep Breathing Exercise During a stressful time, relax your yourself by breathing deeply for at least 3-5 minutes. Take deep breaths in and out.This will calm you and relax you mentally. Relaxation counters stress everytime.
Prayer /Meditation At stressful times or even before a stressful situation occurs, prayer is a great reliever of stress. Stress a form of worrying is the opposite of faith. Through prayer and meditation you may ask for help and or guidance in stressful times so that you don't loose control. Using prayer and meditation to keeps you stress free and often revitalizes you.
Stretching Exercises Once your body begans to feel the tension from stress, get up and stretch.Do basic stretching exercises that can be done just about anywhere. For example, neck rolls, wrist rotations, and bending down and touch your toes ( no bouncing just stretching) are quick exercises to help relieve body stress.Do each exercise for about 30-60 seconds. Taking a short walk also helps.
Don't pick up more than YOU can carry. Know what your limits are. Figure out your STRESS THESHOLD. Learn to say No and or don't be afraid to solicit help. You can not do it all and you shouldn't try. People are placed in and throughout our lives to help. Learn to utilize your TEAMS!
